Maybe it's just me. But the liberal posters to TH seem to lack civility and credible responses. Much more liberal posters than less make comments aimed at inciting yelling matches. I have read many that have nothing to do with the topic of the commentator. Most times, liberal comments will do one of three things:
1. Write belittling comments, then cry foul when they receive like in return,
2. Purposely stray off topic, then cry foul when conservatives try to bring them back on topic,
3. Make personal insults, then cry foul when they receive like in return.
At work, I have debated two kinds of liberals. One (and I do mean just one) gave thoughtful and insightful comments. I may have disagreed with this person, but we listened to each other. We even enjoyed the debate. The second kind, immediately ratcheted up the volume, became excited, refused to dialogue and used derogatory comments.
I urge all conservative posters not to fall into the liberal bait and switch tactics of debate. When they write belittling comments about the columnist, simply tell them their comments are off-base. Don't get in a shouting match with a liberal, it only makes them think they're more clever. If they want to stray off topic, don't follow. When they make personal insults, ignore them. Most liberals don't follow logic. Theirs is a policy derived from warm-fuzzies.
